ABOUT

Nicole brings more than 20 years of experience in physical literacy, sport and recreation administration. Following 15 years in municipal government in Kamloops and Prince Rupert, most recently as Director of Recreation and Community Services, she now supports communities through consulting, workshop facilitation and strategic planning. She also serves on the BCRPA Board of Directors and chairs the governance committee. Her work centres on physical literacy, EDIA and building partnerships that foster participation and belonging for all.

Nicole views challenges as opportunities still unfolding and approaches each with creativity and optimism. A committed lifelong learner, she embraces both learning and unlearning, and champions research-based initiatives and industry standards. Her growth-minded energy sparks enthusiasm and invites reflection on untapped potential.

Nicole is grateful to live, work and play on the land and waterways of the unceded and traditional territory of the Ts'msyen and Sm'algya̱x Speaking Peoples, also known as

Kaien Island or Prince Rupert.

TESTIMONIALS

I had the pleasure of working with Nicole Beauregard in the City of Prince Rupert. Nicole was our Director of Recreation and performed this role with extraordinary skill, passion, capacity, creativity, drive and focus. The recreation function languished prior to Nicole’s arrival. She initiated and successfully completed several capital projects, developed community partnerships, improved management and administrative processes, increased the strength and performance of her team, initiated staff training and fostered wellness, accountability and service levels, and worked enthusiastically with her colleagues across the City’s departments. Nicole is a strong leader who quickly learns, effectively engages with staff, colleagues and the community, and uses her qualities to make positive change.
